The Philip Jabre Visiting Professorship in Art History and Curating
The Department of Fine Arts and Art History (FAAH) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for the position of Visiting Professor of Art History and Curating. We are searching for a scholar with a distinguished record of academic or curatorial activities. The area of specialization is contemporary art and theory, or the theories, methods and practices of curating. The position is available as either a one semester or full academic year appointment. Appointment will begin in Fall or Spring of AY2026-27. The course load is one course per semester in addition to coordinating a non-credit reading seminar and delivering one public lecture. Courses taught by the Philip Jabre Visiting Professor will form
