Art Historian: Ancient and Non-Western
One-year lecturer position, teaching ancient art beginning fall 2025. Ph.D. or ABD at the time of appointment preferred. M.A. in Art History with a specialty in ancient art considered. College-level teaching experience beyond that of teaching assistant preferred. The position has a 4/4 course load teaching lower- and upper-level undergraduate courses in ancient art (in particular, the art of the Greek and Roman world and Egyptian), global art history survey, and the non-major introduction to the visual arts. Ability to teach non-western (particularly African diaspora, and Black Arts) preferred. Other non-western areas of specialty will be considered. Evidence of scholarly publication, presentations at professional conferences, or active scholarly engagement in ancient and/or non-western
