Assistant Professor - Painting /2D Arts
The Art & Art History Unit in the School of the Arts at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to teach painting and 2D Foundations to begin August 18, 2025. We seek a candidate with a strong professional record, successful teaching experience at the university level, and a commitment to teaching undergraduates of diverse backgrounds.The successful applicant will be able to teach traditional and modern approaches to painting and should be knowledgeable about contemporary, critical and theoretical issues. The ability to offer foundation and introductory courses, as well as upper-level courses in their specialization is expected. Artists whose studio practice includes painting are encouraged to apply.
