Assistant Professor-Tenure Track
The Department of Art History in the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, NJ is pleased to invite applications for an Assistant Professor in Contemporary African American, African Diasporic, or African Visual Culture, Performance, and/or New Media. The position will begin September 1, 2023. The successful candidate will join a top-ranked R1 public university with an exceptionally diverse student body. They will teach two courses per semester in a department with a vibrant doctoral program and have the opportunity to engage with our dynamic tracks in Curatorial Studies and Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies and to collaborate with colleagues across the university, including the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice,
