The Department of Visual Art, Brown University, is searching for an artist to join the Department as a Lecturer. This full-time, three year renewable position is focused primarily on excellent teaching, student mentoring, and the supervision and development of our Art Foundations area. Lecturers are evaluated primarily on the quality of their teaching and interest in pedagogy, and have the potential to be promoted to Senior Lecturer and Distinguished Senior Lecturer. The impact of professional activities such as exhibitions, grants, and awards is of lesser importance for Lecturer positions than success in teaching and mentoring.
