Assistant Professor of Art (Painting & Foundations)
The Watkins College of Art at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2022. Watkins College of Art is committed to excellent teaching, providing students with a rigorous intellectual and supportive environment. Along with teaching the successful candidate will oversee the Painting curriculum and space, serve as mentor and advisor to students, engage in research, community, and creative work, and participate in college and university activities and service. Successful candidate will teach courses primarily in painting and 2D foundations with a course load of 6 undergraduate classes per academic year (3/3); additional teaching opportunities within the MFA program may be possible.
