Assistant Professor in Native American and Indigenous Arts
The Williams College Art Department invites applications for an assistant professor (tenure track) who specializes in Native American and Indigenous arts / visual culture. The department is particularly interested in applicants who focus on trans-Atlantic encounter and exchange during the age of European colonial expansion (17th – 19th centuries), but also encourages other NAIS specialists to apply. This position is set to commence in the Fall of 2023. The Williams Art Department aspires to provide a curriculum that offers geographical and cultural breadth as well as chronological depth, and supports a variety of viewpoints and methodologies.
