Assistant Professor of Art – Graphic Design and Expanded Media
Statement of the Job The Department of Art in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Maine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Graphic Design and Expanded Media at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is an academic-year position with an anticipated start date of September 3, 2024. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate studio art courses (ordinarily a 3/3 teaching assignment). Our preference will be toward artists with hybrid creative practices who can teach in more than one of the following areas: graphic design, intermedia, media design and production, projection mapping, digital fabrication, and/or interactive design. Preference may also be given to candidates able to teach courses in theor
