The Department of Art at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applications for a 9-month Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Art History beginning August 1, 2022. Applicants must have a PhD in Art History or related field. Ideal candidates will engage in contemporary art histories (late 20th and/or 21st century) of the global majority; however, applicants from all specializations are invited to apply. We seek candidates whose research and pedagogy demonstrate an integral commitment to anti-racism, decolonization, and/or global feminisms. We are especially interested in applications from members of under-represented groups including but not limited to women, persons of color, LGBTQ+, gender-nonconforming individuals, first generation college graduates, and people wit
