Field of Specialization: Painting and Drawing The Visual Arts Program in the School of the Arts at Columbia University invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Visual Arts (tenure-track/tenured) specializing in painting and drawing, effective July 1, 2025.  The program seeks an accomplished working artist with a primary focus on painting and drawing and an active exhibition record, as well as strong technical skills and a conceptual grounding in the medium and history of painting and drawing. A thorough knowledge of contemporary art discourse, the ability to address works across other art disciplines, and at least two years of teaching experience or the equivalent are strongly preferred.
