Reporting to Professor Patrick Martin as supervisor, the Studio Technician supports the studio art program through maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment; preparing exhibits; organizing work areas, supplies, and tools; supervising student employees; ensuring safety training and safety management; and performing other related duties as needed. Essential Job Functions: Maintain functional facilities in all studios, including electric kilns and annealers as well as all gas kilns, furnaces, reheating chambers, and other hot glass equipment, preemptive maintenance may include regular parts replacement and/or repair.
