Visitor Services Guide
The Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth, is seeking an attentive individual with strong communication skills and experience in customer service to work as a Visitor Services Guide. This full-time, SEIU union position is responsible for greeting and orienting museum guests during their visit and engaging in appropriate conversations about the museum, its collection, and the objects on view. This position is also responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the museum’s collection through monitoring the behavior of visitors and enforcing museum policies. Other duties include––but are not limited to––opening and closing the museum, learning about the museum’s collection and exhibitions, and ensuring visitors’ safety during an emergency.
