Assistant Professor in Communication Design, Tenure Track - College of Arts & Sciences
The Department of Art within the University of Alaska Anchorage is inviting applications for a full- time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Communication Design. This position would entail developing and teaching in a new program that incorporates the studio areas of graphic design, illustration, photography and printmaking. A successful candidate will be mentoring students in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Art Programs and the Occupational Endorsement Certificate in Graphic Design. We are especially interested in hearing from candidates that demonstrate the ability to work in an interdisciplinary context with majors in studio art. Teaching will include undergraduate graphic design, typography, and computer art courses in multiple modalities
