The Department of Media, Art and Design at the University of Missouri-Kansas City seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position in film and media arts. We seek candidates with experience making independent shorts, features, animation, or media art with sufficient knowledge of both narrative and documentary production methods for teaching these topics at the undergraduate level. The person in this position will teach in our hands-on media production curriculum, covering cinematography, lighting, sound recording, and editing within introductory and intermediate project-based courses.
