Assistant Professor, New Media Art
The College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in New Media Art, beginning Fall 2023. The college is seeking a dynamic and committed artist who is engaging in an emerging creative technological practice. We seek applications from interdisciplinary candidates with records of excellence in conceptually driven, materially attuned, and critically engaged new media arts practice. We are particularly interested in candidates whose practice/ pedagogy foreground social justice, cultural diversity, and whose scholarly approach to new media arts manifests critical awareness of how power, privilege, and bias can circulate in the interplay of emergent technology and contemporary art.
