Assistant Professor in Art History and Global Cultures
We seek an art historian whose approach is from a global perspective and whose research focuses on Latin American, Latinx and/or Chicanx art and culture from any historical period. The candidate will have been updated in the social, political and philosophical contexts of art history’s global art world and issues associated with globalization, including discourses in the postcolonial and the decolonial; gender, race, and identity; critical theory, and the structures of art history and exhibitions/ museums. The candidate will be teaching classes in art historical, museum studies, and related methodologies, research methods, as well as thematic classes.
