The Department of Art at Wake Forest University invites applications for an associate professor of painting to begin July 1, 2023. Candidates with at least three years of tenure-track teaching experience will also be considered for appointment as an "advanced assistant," with the possibility of an adjusted tenure clock. Candidates hired at the associate professor level are eligible for tenure pending approval by the Board of Trustees. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar with an MFA or PhD in art, a track record of excellence in both teaching and creative work, and the professional background to teach all levels of painting in a Studio Art BA program. The teaching load is 2 courses
