Position Description The Department of Visual Arts (dova.uchicago.edu) invites applications from practicing artists well-versed in contemporary issues of painting to join the faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor on the tenure track and will participate with other DOVA faculty in curriculum development, academic advising of students in a variety of media, and other committee work. The expected start date of the position is July 1, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.
