DescriptionPosition Summary: The School of Art in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville seeks a Lecturer in Art History for a one-year appointment beginning in Fall 2022. This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary is $45,000 for those with a Ph.D. and negotiated with ABD candidates. Benefits include insurance and retirement. Position Responsibilities: The teaching load is 2:2. The lecturer will teach ARTH 173 Western Art: Renaissance through Contemporary, which serves as part of the university’s general education curriculum, and an upper-division course in American art each semester. The Fall assignment will consist of ARTH 173 and ARTH 473 19th-Century American Art.
