The Institute of Fine Arts of New York University invites applications for the Linda Nochlin Visiting Assistant Professorship, a three-year, non-tenure track position in the field of global post-1945/contemporary art with a focus on the art of women. The Institute of Fine Arts is a graduate facility serving MA and PhD students in art history, archaeology and fine art conservation. The course load is two courses per semester. The successful candidate will teach both graduate seminars and lectures, and contribute to NYU’s Core curriculum. Mentoring and advising MA and PhD students is an important component of this position. The position also includes providing faculty guidance for the Great Hall Exhibition Program, in which graduate student curators organize one or two exhibitions
