Postdoctoral in Interdisciplinary Design Practices
The Design Thinking Initiative (DTI) and The Department of Art at Smith College invite applications for a two-year, benefits eligible, practice-based postdoc to begin July 1, 2022. Annual teaching responsibilities for this position will include a studio course in design thinking and one other studio course to be determined in conjunction with the Design Thinking Initiative and the Department of Art. There is the opportunity within this position to create courses, workshops, and projects on campus related to the applicants’ practice and research. A practice-based or research-based PhD is required by the time of appointment, as is college-level studio teaching experience.
