Statement of the Job The Department of Art in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Maine seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art who will serve as the Director and Curator of its Lord Hall Gallery. Responsibilities include teaching studio courses in area(s) of specialty (ordinarily a 2/1 teaching assignment) as well as overseeing all aspects of the department’s Lord Hall Gallery, including an annual exhibit of student work in Stevens Hall. This is an academic-year position with an anticipated start date of August 29, 2022. Lord Hall Gallery links the Department of Art to the UMaine community and contemporary art practice.
