Instructor in the History of Animation and Illustration
The Department of Art and Design at Montclair State University is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated instructor to teach an undergraduate course in the history of animation and illustration in the Fall of 2021 semester. Subjects include the evolution of animation from proto-cinema to European experimentation and the US studio system, propaganda films, children’s media and advertising, exploration of form and technology. Candidates will preferably have teaching experience at the college level and a doctorate or ABD in visual studies, cinema studies, art history, or a related field. The course takes place on Monday, 5:30-8:00pm. The course can be taught on campus or online.
